    This service coordinates management and team retreats. Our consultants assist boards, management and individual teams in formulating strategic direction and resolving process issues. We facilitate the process that allows executives and their teams to focus their energies on key issues, strategic direction, results, long and short range objectives, and work plans.

    We assist individuals, corporations and government departments in bringing their products and services to the marketplace. We conduct feasibility studies, assist with product design and set up, and facilitate marketing and implementation strategies.

    STRATEGIC ISSUE MANAGEMENT

    Often organizations face challenging issues that require an outside facilitator to assist them in reaching solutions. We offer a highly interactive process to issue management where teams, work groups, or committees come together to confront change, resolve problems, deal with organizational issues, clarify vision, values and relationships. Our extensive experience with issue management has led us to develop the Fontanie Learning Lab.   The Fontanie Learning Lab is a confidential environment where, with the help of an experienced coach-facilitator, participants deal with the dynamics of their work situation. The approach is both experiential and developmental where theory is blended with practical reality. In the Learning Lab participants learn from each other. The environment they create, with the help of coach-facilitator, becomes an incubator for change and growth.

    BOARD DEVELOPMENT

    Our approach to Board Development builds on the knowledge, experience and good will of Board Members. Through a focused and interactive process, board members explore the various types of Board involvement and governance models in organizations, apply the appropriate model for them, and clarify their roles, responsibilities and relationships with their CEO and staff. We do not consider this a course in Board Development, but the application of what one might learn in an academic situation. We base our work with boards on theory and best practice approaches and apply this knowledge in real time Board Development. Fontanie Associates only works with individual board entities.

    In order to maintain a high standard of performance, Board Members need to periodically take time to review itself. This usually involves an assessment….
